Reading of the Day 6/14/25: Psalms 15-17

Psalms 15:4: In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

"The Bible may hurt you with the Truth, but it will never comfort you with a lie..." Not sure who said this, but it says so much in just a few short words. This has been the burden lately, and every passage I read compels me to talk about it more...especially this above Scripture. This just shows me how REAL God is...and not just real in that He exists, but "real" in the sense that this world is not our "utopia" or "you-topia" for deeper explanation & meaning...He clearly tells us it's going to get tough. Not everything is going to be great, amazing or comfortable. Why? Because there's still a place called Heaven we have to look forward to! This is not our home! It is the honest truth that the Truth can be hard to swallow sometimes. It may require us to accept & change some things about ourselves in order to fully embrace it, and to eventually embrace our Savior in Heaven...but I have first-hand experience that it's worth it! It only feels like sacrifice until we get our affections in the right place! We can come together as a people if only we realize that we can't all have a you-topia! There is One Truth-and He is Jesus! That should not frustrate or divide us-it should cause us to be relieved & thankful that God put it all simplest form! I love you all so much, and even if it hurts, His Truth (every value, priciple, and fact) MUST be spoken! There is no you-topia...but there is a Heaven!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
