Know it All

Reading of the Day 8/11/25: Ecclesiastes 8-10

Ecclesiastes 8:17: Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea further; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.

One thing that becomes more & more apparent is that the world cannot "catch up" to God. There are wonderful things about the study of science, and I commend those researchers who are able to find cures and give people a better quality of life...but God opens up the doors to both creation and discovery! He created this world. He created how it works. He allows for scientists to "discover" things that have already been created! But there is still so much we cannot know or will not know. So many questions we will be able to ask God once we get to Heaven! As this Scripture says, in paraphrased form, we cannot know it all. No matter how much we work to seek it out, even with tools like AI, we can simply never understand the full complexity of creation! Again, the study of science is a wonderful tool for us, but it's not the answer. It's only a small portion of the bigger picture...and God is the Artist! He is the Answer! We do not have to try to know it all. We cannot try to know it all. But in knowing Jesus, we know all we need! One important tidbit of information to keep in mind is that this verse is coming from one of the wisest men who ever walked the earth! Solomon, in all his wisdom, came to the realization that even HE could not know everything...and this is coming from a man who literally received the gift of wisdom directly from God! This goes to show how much God is in control. He gave Solomon so much wisdom, but still only allowed him to know a certain amount. And this isn't a punishment...it's a relief! Imagine REALLY knowing it all...I don't think any human could handle the burden of that! Jesus knows it all, and that's enough to know! When we fall short, where science falls short, when we have no place else to turn...we have a God of Love who we can lean into to care for us like only He can! We know it All by knowing Him!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
