Courageously Waiting...

Gina Pietrzak

Reading of the Day 6/18/25: Psalms 27-29

Psalm 27:14: Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Our God is a God of "right now," but He is also a God of "not yet." Some prayers are answered in an instant, and some take more time. It is very easy to get caught up in trying to figure it all out, even down to blaming ourselves for what we think is "unanswered prayer." While it could be true that we may need to pray for an increase in faith to see things come to pass, it also may be true that God DID answer...and His answer is "not yet." God hears the prayers of a faithful and sincere heart! We don't have to question that! And He does answer every one...His answer may just be to courageously wait in the wilderness of "not yet." Tucked in the middle of the "waits" in this Scripture, God speaks through the Psalmist to be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart. Sometimes, the most courage & strength is needed in the wait, not in the weight & pressure of a battle. The unknown can sometimes be a lot scarier than the giant! But if we courageously wait, not doubting God in the process, we will see how it all will come together! It's hard to understand that just because the struggle is now, it doesn't mean the answer or relief needs to come now. But in the process, we won't stop believing for it! We won't stop claiming it! We won't stop seeking The Lord & seeing what He wants to do through us as we courageously wait in the desert of "not yet." He WILL strengthen our hearts! He WILL bring us through! He IS the answer to every prayer!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
